Who Am I

  • Dr. Jason Lang grew up in Waupaca, Wisconsin and received his Bachelor degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minnesota. Dr. Lang went on to earn his certification in Strength and Conditioning; specializing in pediatric, sport and family care. Dr. Lang has been practicing in Appleton, Wisconsin since 2002.

Maximized Living Doctor Jason Lang offers weight loss and sound nutrition tips as part of his care planning for whole person. Here are a few tips that can help you maintain good nutritional intake even while working to take off some pesky pounds.

  • Eat small, nutritious mini-meals about every 3 hours.
  • Eat at least one lean and green meal per day.
  • Lay in a supply of nutritious, low calorie snacks you can eat when you simply MUST put something in your mouth. Otherwise, you’ll eat whatever is available, even if it’s not on your eating plan.
  • When you are severely tempted to eat a whole bag of potato chips or an entire box of snack crackers, try drinking a big glass of cold water instead. After about 20 minutes the craving will usually pass.
  • To avoid overeating at meals, drink a big glass of water about 20 minutes before time to sit down. That way you’ll already have something in your stomach and the message that you’re not famished has time to reach the hunger center in your brain.
  • Plan what you will eat the next day (or evening). If possible, pack your lunch or lay out what you will need for each meal, including drinks and snacks.
  • Purchase flavor enhancers to add to your bottled water. These are especially useful if you don’t like or get bored when drinking plain water.
  • Carry a food bar with you. Even with the best planning, you will run into an occasional snag. A meeting will go too long or you get caught in heavy traffic. At that point, when you’re hungry enough to eat the actual table, a pre-planned snack will save your life and you do not have to settle for just anything.
